Arcana Heart – PS2 Game

Arcana Heart is a 2D fighting game for PlayStation 2 with an all-female roster. Alongside choosing a character, you select an Arcana, a guardian spirit tied to an element that changes your moveset by adding special attacks, defensive options, and its own super moves. The same fighter plays quite differently depending on which Arcana you pair her with, so the two-layer selection is central to how matches are built. Fights use air-dashing, homing movement toward the opponent, chained normals, and meter-fed supers, giving matches a fast, vertical feel. Modes cover single-player play against the computer, versus matches, and training. The presentation uses hand-drawn sprites, bright backgrounds, and anime-style character art with voiced dialogue between bouts.
