Armored Core 2 – PS2 Game

A mech action game for the PlayStation 2 and the start of the series’ second generation. You play as a Raven taking mission contracts, then spend your earnings in the garage assembling an Armored Core from separate parts, balancing weight, energy output and firepower against speed and manoeuvrability. This entry adds overboost for sustained high-speed movement and expands the parts catalogue, with missions set across Mars as well as more confined interiors. Combat relies on locking on while boosting, jumping and strafing, managing limited ammunition and a draining energy gauge, and paying for ammo and repairs out of your fee. An arena mode ranks you against individual opponents in one-on-one duels, providing an extra income stream and tougher tests for your build.
