Astro Boy

Astro Boy: The Video Game on PlayStation 2 is an action game tied to the computer-animated Astro Boy film. You play as Astro Boy, using melee combos, arm cannons and flight to fight waves of robots and machines through a series of stages, with boss encounters punctuating the levels. Combat mixes ground fighting with airborne movement, and Astro’s built-in weapons can be swapped between as you work through enemy groups. Progress unlocks upgrades that improve his attacks and abilities. The presentation follows the film’s version of the character and setting, with story sequences linking the levels together. It is a linear, stage-based game aimed at players who want straightforward action rather than exploration.
