Astro Warrior – Sega Master System Game

Astro Warrior is a vertically scrolling shooter for the Sega Master System. You pilot a small fighter craft over scrolling terrain and space backdrops, shooting formations of enemy ships and dodging their return fire. Destroyed enemies leave behind power-up items that upgrade your firepower and attach support units to your ship, and losing a life strips those upgrades away. Each stage builds toward a large boss craft with its own attack pattern and vulnerable point. Controls are simple, using one button for firing while you concentrate on positioning and threading through enemy waves. The game is short and score-driven in the arcade tradition, with difficulty coming from crowded enemy patterns rather than complex mechanics.
