Balloon Kid – Gameboy Game

Balloon Kid is a side-scrolling platformer for the Game Boy built on the flying mechanics of Balloon Fight. You control Alice, who sets out to find her missing brother, holding a pair of balloons and flapping to stay airborne. Instead of single-screen arenas, the game gives you scrolling stages that you travel from left to right, avoiding enemies and hazards that can burst your balloons. Losing them drops you to the ground, where you walk and can pick up replacements. Collecting balloons along the route builds your score, and stages end with a boss-style or checkpoint encounter before you move on. A bonus mode based on the endless Balloon Trip format is also included, and two Game Boys can link for competitive play.
