Baten Kaitos Origins – Gamecube Game

Baten Kaitos Origins is a GameCube role-playing game set in the same sky-bound world as Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean, taking place generations earlier. You follow Sagi, a young soldier, together with his companions, and again act as a spirit linked to the main character. Battles use the series’ card system, in which weapons, armour, items and spells are drawn as Magnus and played under a timer, though the combat has been reworked so the party shares a single deck and turn sequence, encouraging longer chained attacks between characters. Exploration takes you between floating continents, with pre-rendered environments and an orchestral score. Story events revisit locations and background history that connect to the earlier game’s setting.
