Batman Returns – Sega Genesis Game

Batman Returns on the Sega Genesis is an action game based on the film, mixing side-scrolling stages with vehicle sections. On foot you play as Batman, fighting the Penguin’s gang with punches and kicks while using gadgets, the grapple and batarangs to handle enemies and reach new areas. Other stages put you behind the controls of Batman’s vehicles for driving and chase sequences with a different perspective and control scheme. Levels follow the film’s Gotham settings, including snowy streets and the Penguin’s underground territory, and end with boss fights against characters from the story. Health and item pickups are scattered through the stages, and progress is limited by lives and continues. Cutscene stills between levels tie the action to the movie’s plot.
