Battle Arena Toshinden Remix – Sega Saturn Game

Battle Arena Toshinden Remix is the Sega Saturn version of the weapon-based 3D fighter. Characters wield swords, whips, staves and other arms in enclosed rings, and a dedicated sidestep move lets you shift into the foreground or background to avoid attacks rather than fighting on a single flat line. Special moves and low-health desperation attacks round out each fighter’s set. This release adds animated cutscenes and voiced story sequences that frame the tournament and give the cast more background between matches. Play covers a single-player run through the roster and two-player versus matches, with each character carrying their own theme music and ending. The presentation leans on anime-styled character designs and dramatic pre-fight introductions.
