Blades of Vengeance – Sega Genesis Game

Blades of Vengeance is a fantasy action platformer for the Sega Genesis. Before you start, you pick from a trio of heroes with different fighting styles and ranged attacks, then work through side-scrolling stages filled with monsters, traps and hidden passages. Combat mixes melee swings with projectile magic, and defeated enemies and breakable scenery leave behind items, coins and power-ups that improve your attacks or restore health. Levels are built around exploration as much as fighting, with branching routes and doors that lead to side areas, and boss encounters cap off the larger stages. A second player can join in for cooperative play, and the game uses passwords so you can return to later chapters rather than restarting from the beginning each time.
