Blaster Master II – Sega Genesis Game

Blaster Master II is an action game for the Sega Genesis that continues the series formula. You pilot the Sophia tank through side-scrolling stages, shooting enemies and using upgrades to reach areas that are otherwise inaccessible. As before, doorways and openings switch the game to an overhead view where Jason leaves the vehicle on foot, armed with a smaller gun, to work through tighter passages and confront bosses. Clearing those encounters typically strengthens the tank or grants it new movement options. Levels are built around exploring branching underground and surface environments and returning to earlier spots once you have the right equipment. The Genesis version features larger sprites and a fuller color palette than the NES original, along with cutscene sequences between stages.
