Blowout – Gamecube Game

Blowout is a side-scrolling action shooter for the Nintendo GameCube with 3D graphics presented on a largely 2D plane of movement. You control an armed soldier moving through corridors and interior environments overrun by hostile alien creatures, shooting them as they approach from both sides and from above. Progress involves running, jumping, climbing and using platforms and elevators to reach new areas, with weapon pickups and upgrades expanding your firepower as you go. Enemies vary in size and behaviour, and some encounters are built around larger foes or tighter spaces. The perspective occasionally shifts as you move deeper into a level, but the core loop stays focused on movement and constant shooting rather than exploration or puzzle solving.
