Bram Stoker’s Dracula – Sega CD Game

This Sega CD version of Bram Stoker’s Dracula is a side-scrolling action game based on the film adaptation of the novel. You fight through gothic locations, dealing with bats, wolves and other minions on the way to Dracula, using close-range attacks and items found in the stages. The CD format is used for a recorded soundtrack and for cutscene material that frames the story between levels, giving the presentation a more cinematic feel than cartridge versions of the licence. Play itself stays focused on platforming and combat: you learn enemy placement, manage a health bar and limited lives, and push through each area to reach its end. Anyone curious about how early 1990s film tie-ins were adapted for CD hardware will find a compact example here.
