Bubble Bobble Featuring Rainbow Islands – Sega Saturn Game

This Sega Saturn release brings together two of Taito’s arcade titles. In Bubble Bobble you control a bubble dragon across single-screen stages, blowing bubbles to trap the enemies patrolling the platforms and then popping them to clear the level, with fruit and power-ups awarded for bursting bubbles in groups. Rainbow Islands casts you as a character who conjures rainbows, using them both as weapons against enemies and as temporary platforms to climb each island toward the top while gathering items. Both games are built around one core mechanic and short, self-contained stages, and both allow two players. The compilation preserves the arcade structure, so success comes from memorising layouts, reading enemy movement and making efficient use of bubbles or rainbows.
