Bubsy II – Sega Genesis Game

Bubsy II is a side-scrolling platformer starring Bubsy the bobcat. You run and jump through themed stages, pouncing on enemies from above and using Bubsy’s glide to cover long gaps and slow your fall. Bubsy dies from a single hit, so avoiding contact matters more than fighting, and levels are laid out with plenty of hazards, moving platforms and hidden routes to find. Along the way you can pick up items and weapons that change how you deal with obstacles. The presentation carries over the cartoon look and voice clips of the series, with Bubsy reacting to hits and falls. Stages are large and often branch, encouraging exploration to locate exits and collectibles rather than simply sprinting to the right.
