Call of Duty 2 Big Red One – Gamecube Game

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is a World War II first-person shooter built for the consoles of its generation, distinct from the PC and Xbox 360 entry that shares part of its name. The campaign follows a squad of the United States 1st Infantry Division, moving from the North African desert through Sicily and Italy and on into France and Germany. Missions are linked by documentary-style narration and archive-flavoured framing between chapters. You fight alongside AI squadmates, using cover, grenades and mounted weapons, with occasional levels that put you in a vehicle or behind a turret rather than on foot. Period rifles, submachine guns and machine guns make up the arsenal. The GameCube version includes split-screen multiplayer modes for local play.
