Cars – Gamecube Game

Cars on GameCube is a racing game based on the Pixar film. You mostly control Lightning McQueen as he trains in and around Radiator Springs, working through Piston Cup events and other races on desert highways, dirt tracks and mountain roads. The town acts as a drivable hub: you can cruise between locations, find characters from the film and take on the events they offer rather than picking everything from a menu. Alongside straight races there are mini-game style challenges, including tractor tipping and timed driving tasks. Boost is earned by drifting and driving on two wheels, which encourages sliding through corners rather than braking. Voice work and character models draw directly on the movie, and other cast members appear as opponents and as selectable racers in some modes. Multiplayer races are available for two players.
