Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion is a platform fighter for the Wii that pulls its roster from the network’s animated lineup, with characters such as Ben 10, Finn from Adventure Time, Samurai Jack, and Captain Planet among the fighters. Matches take place on side-scrolling stages where you knock opponents around with light and heavy attacks, special moves, and items that spawn during the fight, working to blast rivals out of the arena rather than drain a traditional health bar. Stages are drawn from the shows and include hazards and moving elements. Alongside versus play for multiple players, there is a single-player campaign that strings fights together with cartoon-styled cutscenes and unlockable characters and assists. Controls support several Wii input options, and the tone stays close to the source cartoons throughout.
