Charlie and the Chocolate Factory – Gamecube Game

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the Nintendo GameCube is an action platformer based on the film adaptation of Roald Dahl’s story. You move through areas modelled on Willy Wonka’s factory, including chocolate rooms, machinery and candy-making facilities, jumping across platforms, avoiding hazards and solving light environmental puzzles. Along the way you collect items scattered through the levels and take part in stage-specific challenges that break up the platforming. Characters and settings from the film appear throughout, with story sequences linking the levels together. The game is aimed at younger players, so the controls are straightforward and checkpoints are frequent, though some sections require careful timing. Certain stages put a twist on the standard movement, such as riding or sliding through parts of the factory instead of simply walking and jumping.
