Chessmaster – Gameboy Color Game

Chessmaster on Game Boy Color is a handheld version of the long-running chess program. You play standard chess against a computer opponent with adjustable strength, so the game can be set as a gentle introduction or as a serious challenge. The board is presented in a top-down view suited to the small screen, with pieces selected and moved using the directional pad. Supporting features typical of the series are included, such as taking back moves, hints when you are unsure what to play, and the option to have legal moves or threats highlighted while you learn. Games can be saved and resumed later, which suits handheld play in short sessions. Two-player play on a single system is also possible, letting you pass the console back and forth for a game against another person.
