Chicken Run – PS1 Game

Chicken Run is based on the Aardman stop-motion film and puts you in control of Ginger as she works to get the flock off Tweedy’s farm. Rather than straight action, the game leans on stealth and problem solving: you sneak around the farmyard, stay out of sight of the dogs and the Tweedys, and use hiding places and distractions to move between objectives. Levels task you with collecting parts and items needed for escape plans, rescuing chickens, and reaching goals before being spotted and thrown in the coop. The characters, locations and humour are drawn from the film, with cutscenes linking the missions together. Controls and puzzle design are aimed at a family audience, though the guard patrols mean you do need to plan routes and time your movement.
