Chicken Run – Sega Dreamcast Game

This Dreamcast version of Chicken Run adapts the Aardman stop-motion film into a stealth-focused action game. You play as Ginger, sneaking around Tweedy’s farm to gather the items and parts needed for the chickens’ escape attempts while avoiding the farm’s dogs and the Tweedys themselves. Getting spotted lands you back in the coop, so play revolves around learning patrol routes, using cover and hiding spots, and timing your dashes between objectives. Missions send you into different parts of the farm, with characters, settings and humour taken directly from the film and cutscenes tying the stages together. The controls and puzzle design are pitched at a family audience rather than hardcore stealth fans. A reasonable fit for Dreamcast owners looking for something lighter than the console’s arcade conversions.
