Crimson Sea – Xbox Game

Crimson Sea is a science-fiction action game for the original Xbox that pits you against large groups of enemies in third-person combat. You control a soldier fighting an alien threat across futuristic environments, cutting through crowds with melee attacks while also using ranged weapons and special abilities to clear space when you are surrounded. Levels task you with reaching objectives, defending points and defeating bosses, with dozens of foes swarming on screen at once. Between missions you upgrade your character’s stats and abilities, so combat options broaden as the campaign progresses. The story is told through cutscenes and radio chatter, framing the fighting within a wider conflict. Play is fast and crowd-focused, closer to a hack-and-slash than a cover-based shooter, and stages reward keeping constantly on the move.
