Cyborg Hunter – Sega Master System Game

Cyborg Hunter is a side-scrolling action game on the Sega Master System with a strong emphasis on exploration. You take the role of a hunter boarding an enemy space station to shut down a cyborg army, working through interconnected corridors and floors that are navigated by elevators and doorways rather than a straight run to the exit. Combat mixes melee attacks with a ranged weapon, and enemy encounters can shift into a close-quarters fighting view. Much of the game involves mapping the station, locating key items and equipment upgrades, and backtracking to reach previously blocked areas, so keeping track of where you have been matters. The presentation is science fiction throughout, built on metal interiors, mechanical enemies and boss confrontations against stronger cyborgs.
