Dance Factory – PS2 Game

Dance Factory is a PlayStation 2 dance game that generates its own stepcharts. Instead of shipping with a fixed set of licensed songs, it lets you insert your own audio CDs, analyses the tracks, and builds step patterns for them, so your music library becomes the game’s song list. Play follows the familiar dance-mat format: prompts scroll on screen in time with the beat and you step on the matching panels, with your timing scored as you go. Difficulty settings change how busy the generated patterns are, and options let you adjust how the game reads a track. A dance mat is the intended controller, though the game can also be played with a standard pad. Multiplayer options let two players dance to the same generated charts.
