Dark Rift – Nintendo 64 Game

Dark Rift is a one-on-one 3D fighting game for the Nintendo 64. You choose from a roster of polygonal fighters, including armoured warriors and mechanical designs, and face opponents in bouts fought over rounds in enclosed arenas. Combat uses punches, kicks, throws and character-specific special moves, with blocking and combo strings making up the core of play. Modes cover single-player progression through a chain of opponents and two-player versus matches on the same console. Character models and stages are fully polygonal, with the camera framing both fighters side-on as they move around the arena floor. Each fighter has a distinct reach and move set, so matchups vary depending on the pairing. Controls map attacks to the face buttons with movement on the control stick or D-pad.
