Dark Summit – Gamecube Game

Dark Summit is a snowboarding game for the Nintendo GameCube. You ride down the runs of a mountain that has been partly closed off, and progress by completing objectives rather than simply racing to the bottom: challenges include races, trick and score targets, and tasks that involve reaching or interfering with things placed around the slopes. Clearing objectives opens up further areas of the mountain, so the runs are explored and revisited as new goals become available. Controls cover carving, jumping, grabs, spins and grinds, with tricks chained together for higher scores. The mountain is presented as a connected environment with lifts and paths linking its sections, and staff patrolling the closed areas as obstacles. A loose story about what is being hidden on the mountain frames the objectives.
