Dash Galaxy in the Alien Asylum is an NES action game in which you explore an abandoned alien structure as astronaut Dash Galaxy. Play alternates between two views: overhead sections where you move between doors and elevators inside the complex, and side-scrolling rooms where you jump across platforms, avoid hazards and collect items. Your air or energy supply drains as you explore, so working out routes and finding pickups matters as much as reacting to obstacles. Rooms are made up of pits, moving platforms and traps that require careful timing, and falling or running out of resources costs you a life. There is no combat focus; survival depends on movement and route planning rather than shooting. A single-player title played across successive floors of the alien building.
