Dead Ball Zone – PS1 Game

Dead Ball Zone is a violent future-sports game for the PlayStation, in which teams compete on an enclosed pitch under rules that treat injuring the opposition as part of play. You direct a squad through matches that mix ball carrying and scoring with open brawling, using weapons, tackles and dirty tactics against the other side, and casualties are simply part of how a game unfolds. Between matches there is a management layer, with money to spend on players and equipment as you work through a competition. The presentation leans on dark humour and gore rather than any real sporting authenticity, and the pitch layouts and team rosters vary as you advance. Matches can be played against the computer or against another person.
