Deadly Towers – NES Game

Deadly Towers is an action game for the NES in which you control Prince Myer, who sets out to destroy a set of bells before a demon’s army can be summoned. Play is viewed from overhead as you move through outdoor areas, towers and underground passages, throwing swords at enemies that respawn steadily as you travel. Gold dropped by defeated foes is spent in shops on better swords, armour, shields and items, and hidden doorways lead to shops, healing spots and separate parallel areas that must be navigated to progress. Structure is nonlinear, with the towers connected by a central map and little in-game direction, so progress depends on exploration, mapping routes and building up equipment before facing the guardians.
