Def Jam Vendetta is a wrestling-style fighting game built around hip-hop artists and original characters. Matches take place in underground venues where you grapple, strike and counter opponents, filling a momentum meter that unlocks flashy signature finishing moves. Health depletes until a pin or submission ends the bout, so positioning and reversals matter as much as raw offense. A story mode follows a fighter climbing through the circuit, earning money and reputation while facing rival crews. You can spend winnings on your character and unlock additional fighters for use in exhibition and multiplayer matches. Modes include single bouts, tag team and multi-fighter contests against friends. The soundtrack features hip-hop tracks, and the roster includes real recording artists rendered as playable brawlers alongside fictional characters.
