Desert Demolition – Sega Genesis Game

Desert Demolition is a Genesis platformer starring Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. You choose which of the two to play, and the character you pick changes how the stages are approached: the Road Runner relies on outright speed and running past hazards, while the Coyote makes use of gadgets and contraptions picked up along the way. Levels run through desert canyons, mesas, mines and highways drawn in a cartoon style, filled with rockets, springs, anvils, falling rocks and the sort of traps familiar from the shorts. Much of the play involves building up speed, timing jumps over gaps and avoiding the elaborate ways the desert tries to flatten you. Animations and sound effects lean heavily on the source cartoons.
