Donkey Kong Country Returns – Nintendo Wii

Donkey Kong Country Returns is a Nintendo Wii platformer starring Donkey Kong in a side-scrolling adventure across Donkey Kong Island. The game brings back classic Donkey Kong Country-style running, jumping, swinging, and barrel-blasting with added moves for the Wii entry.

• Cleaned, tested, and guaranteed to play. The disc play surface is in nice condition.
• Side-scrolling platform gameplay focuses on jumps, environmental obstacles, collectibles, and fast stage movement.
• The story centers on recovering Donkey Kong’s stolen banana hoard across Donkey Kong Island.
• Diddy Kong is playable in two-player cooperative play, adding a partner-focused way to move through stages.
• Barrel blasting and vine swinging return as core stage mechanics alongside new actions built around the revival.

This entry relaunched the Donkey Kong Country formula on Wii after the original Super Nintendo trilogy, with Retro Studios handling the revival. Its island setting, banana-hoard quest, and co-op Diddy Kong role connect the game directly to the series’ 2D platforming roots.
