Donkey Kong Country Returns – Wii Game

A side-scrolling platformer in which Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong set out to recover their stolen banana hoard from the mask-wearing Tiki Tak Tribe. Levels are built in 2.5D, with characters and platforms moving between foreground and background planes. You run, roll and grab handholds, and shaking the Wii Remote triggers a ground slap or roll attack; Diddy’s jetpack extends jumps when he is riding on DK’s back. Stages mix jungle, beach, cave, factory and volcanic settings and regularly break into mine cart rides and rocket barrel flights. Each level hides KONG letters and puzzle pieces that unlock further stages, and a second player can join at any time as Diddy for cooperative play. Boss fights close out each world, and optional time trials are available after clearing stages.
