Double Switch – Sega CD Game

An interactive movie for the Sega CD built from full-motion video footage. You watch an apartment building through its security camera system, switching between feeds to follow the people inside and keep track of what is happening in different rooms. The building is fitted with hidden traps, and your job is to trigger them at the right moment to catch intruders while avoiding harm to the innocent residents. Missing a cue or springing a trap at the wrong time changes how events unfold and can bring the story to an early end. Gameplay is a matter of observation and timing rather than direct character control, with live-action video making up the bulk of what you see. The structure encourages repeated attempts to learn the schedule of events.
