Dr Chaos – NES Game

Dr. Chaos is an action-adventure game for the NES in which you explore a large mansion looking for your missing brother, a scientist whose experiments have opened rifts that let monsters through. Exploration happens from a first-person view of doors, walls and furniture, which you search for items, hidden passages and warp holes. Entering a passage switches the game to a side-scrolling view where you fight creatures with a knife and, later, better weapons found along the way. Health and ammunition are limited, so much of the game is spent methodically checking every room and wall for supplies and the routes that open up new areas of the house. Progress depends on mapping the mansion and finding the equipment needed to reach the deeper sections.
