Driven – Gamecube Game

Driven is a racing game for Nintendo GameCube tied to the film of the same name, centred on open-wheel single-seater competition. You drive high-downforce race cars around circuits, working through races from behind-the-wheel and chase camera views. Play is arcade-oriented rather than simulation-focused, with an emphasis on holding racing lines through corners and passing rival cars over the course of a race. Modes cover single races and a longer progression alongside multiplayer racing on a split screen. Handling is tuned so that the cars accelerate and brake quickly, and collisions with walls and other drivers cost time rather than ending a race outright. Controls follow the standard GameCube layout, with analogue steering and the shoulder triggers used for throttle and brakes.
