Earthworm Jim 2 – Sega Saturn Game

Earthworm Jim 2 on Sega Saturn is a version of the platform sequel starring a worm in a powered suit. You run, jump and fire a blaster, whip Jim’s head to hit enemies and swing from hooks, glide with a helicopter attachment and pick up extra weapons that behave differently from the standard shot. Levels are deliberately varied: conventional side-scrolling stages alternate with sections that impose their own rules and objectives, so the way you play shifts from one area to the next. Cartoon-styled backdrops, exaggerated sprite animation and slapstick humour run through the whole game, and oversized bosses with fixed attack patterns close out areas. The Saturn release plays the soundtrack from disc rather than through chip-based audio.
