ECW Hardcore Revolution – Gameboy Color Game

ECW Hardcore Revolution brings Extreme Championship Wrestling to the Game Boy Color as a scaled-down wrestling game built for the handheld’s smaller screen and two-button control scheme. You choose a wrestler from the ECW roster and fight through matches using a simplified set of strikes, grapples and pins, with weapons and outside-the-ring brawling reflecting the promotion’s hardcore style. Modes let you compete in one-off bouts or work toward championship gold, and there is support for head-to-head play using a link cable. Presentation uses sprite-based wrestlers and compact arena backdrops, with menus for selecting match types and opponents. It is a portable companion to the console versions of the same license, condensing the same ECW theme into short matches suited to handheld sessions.
