El Viento – Sega Genesis Game

El Viento is a side-scrolling action platformer for the Sega Genesis. You play as Annet, a young woman with magical ability, in a story that mixes 1920s Prohibition-era America with occult conspiracy and summoned gods. Annet attacks by throwing boomerang-style blades and can call on elemental magic gathered during play, giving you both a standard ranged attack and stronger limited-use powers. Stages move through cities, ships, construction sites and other locations, ending in fights against large bosses. Movement includes jumping and clinging or climbing in places, and enemies frequently arrive from multiple directions, so positioning matters as much as reflexes. Cutscenes with character portraits carry the plot between stages, and the game uses a password-free structure of continuous levels.
