Escape from Monkey Island – PS2 Game

Escape from Monkey Island brings the point-and-click comedy adventure series to PlayStation 2. You play as Guybrush Threepwood, who returns from honeymoon with Elaine Marley to find her governorship in doubt and her mansion slated for demolition, while a land developer named Ozzie Mandrill schemes over the Caribbean. Gameplay follows the series formula of exploring locations, talking to characters through branching dialogue, collecting items and combining them to solve puzzles, with the humor built into most solutions. The game uses 3D character models over prerendered backdrops, with direct control of Guybrush rather than a mouse cursor. Later in the story you encounter Monkey Kombat, a puzzle sequence built around learning combinations of ape sounds. Voice acting covers the dialogue throughout.
