Evolution Worlds – Gamecube Game

Evolution Worlds is a turn-based role-playing game and the GameCube’s version of the Evolution series that began on the Dreamcast, drawing its story from those earlier games. You play as Mag Launcher, a young treasure hunter from a family of adventurers, and travel out from his home town into ruins to recover treasure and pay off debts. Dungeon floors are laid out in randomised sections that you work through room by room, fighting monsters in turn-based battles. Mag and his companions pilot Cyframes, mechanical arms and weapon units that can be upgraded and swapped to change their abilities and attacks. Between expeditions you return to town to rest, restock, take on new commissions and follow the story, which is told through anime-styled characters and cutscenes with a light, comedic tone.
