Excitebots: Trick Racing is an arcade racer for the Nintendo Wii in which you drive animal-shaped robot vehicles rather than conventional cars. As in its predecessor, you hold the Wii Remote sideways and tilt to steer, leaning in mid-air for clean landings. Placing well matters, but the main measure of success is stars, earned for stunts, drifts, big jumps, near misses and other flashy driving. Tracks are dotted with side activities that pay out stars, such as hitting bowling pins, kicking a soccer ball, spinning through rings and catching thrown objects. Bots unlock and can be tuned as you progress, and events are grouped into cups. The game supports multiplayer races, and additional modes built around the star-collecting antics round out the package.
