F1 World Grand Prix is a licensed Formula One racing game for the Nintendo 64, built around the teams, drivers and circuits of the championship season it represents. You can take part in single races, time trials or a full championship, with practice and qualifying sessions determining your grid position. Car setup options cover items such as wings, gearing and tyre choice, and driving aids can be adjusted so the handling ranges from approachable to demanding. Weather, race length and opponent difficulty are configurable, with tyre wear, fuel and damage influencing pit strategy in longer events. The game runs from a cockpit or external chase camera and includes replay viewing. Split-screen multiplayer lets more than one player race on the same console.
