Faery Tale Adventure – Sega Genesis Game

The Faery Tale Adventure is an open-world action role-playing game on the Sega Genesis, adapted from the earlier home computer release. You control three brothers, taking one out into the world at a time; if one falls, another can carry on the quest. The overhead view scrolls across a large connected landscape of forests, villages, coastlines and ruins, and there are no linear stages, so exploration and finding your own way forward drive the game. Combat is handled in real time against roaming monsters, and you gather gold, items and information from townspeople to make progress. A day and night cycle changes what you encounter, with the world becoming more dangerous after dark. Travel is on foot at first, with other means of crossing the map found along the way.
