Fantasia for the Sega Genesis is a platformer starring Mickey Mouse in his sorcerer’s apprentice role from the Disney film. You run and jump through themed stages, using magic to attack enemies while collecting musical notes scattered through each area. The levels take visual and musical cues from the film’s animated sequences, with orchestral arrangements backing the action, and progress requires exploring the stages fairly thoroughly rather than simply running to an exit. Hazards include enemies that patrol the platforms and environmental dangers such as water and falls. Mickey moves with a floating jump and a projectile magic attack, and stages are laid out with multiple routes and vertical sections to search for the items you need before you can move on.
