FIFA 08 – PSP Game

An entry in EA’s annual football (soccer) series, released for the PlayStation Portable. You play matches with licensed clubs and national sides, choosing between quick exhibition games, knockout cups and longer league or season play. On the pitch you handle passing, crossing, shooting, tackling and set pieces, with tactical options for formations, player instructions and substitutions between games. Squad management lets you adjust line-ups and study player attributes before kick-off, and difficulty and half length can be tuned to taste. The handheld release is built for shorter sessions, with commentary, licensed kits and stadium atmosphere presented at a smaller scale. Wireless multiplayer allows head-to-head matches with another PSP owner, and side modes offer skill challenges away from full eleven-a-side matches.
