FIFA 96 – Sega Genesis Game

FIFA 96 continues EA’s football series on the Sega Genesis, presenting matches from an angled overhead view with scaling player sprites. You choose from club and national sides and play friendlies, league campaigns and knockout tournaments. The controls cover short passes, long balls, shots, slide tackles and dead-ball situations such as corners, free kicks and penalties, with the on-field camera following the ball around the pitch. Formations and tactics can be set from the menus, and substitutions are made between and during matches. Options let you change match length, weather and rule enforcement. Two players can play with a second controller, either against one another or as teammates, and multitap support allows more players to join depending on your hardware. Password or save support lets longer competitions be continued later.
