FIFA World Cup

FIFA World Cup: Germany 2006 is EA Sports’ officially licensed game for that year’s tournament, featuring the national teams and the German host stadiums. You can play through the World Cup itself with the qualified sides, or take a nation from qualification onward, working through regional groups toward the finals. Matches use the FIFA series’ passing, shooting and set-piece controls, with television-style presentation, crowd atmosphere and commentary. Additional modes recreate notable World Cup scenarios, asking you to change or repeat historical results under set conditions. Squads, formations and tactics can be adjusted before kick-off, and difficulty and match length are configurable. The GameCube release supports local multiplayer for competitive matches or co-operative play on the same team.
