Fire Blade – PS2 Game

Fire Blade is a helicopter combat game for the PlayStation 2. You pilot an armed attack helicopter through mission-based operations, using machine guns, rockets and guided missiles against ground targets, vehicles, emplacements and enemy aircraft. Play is viewed from behind the aircraft, and flight handling sits between arcade shooting and light simulation: you manage altitude, hovering and strafing runs rather than realistic flight systems. Objectives typically involve destroying specified targets, protecting friendly forces or units on the ground, and reaching waypoints within the mission area, with radar and target indicators helping you locate threats. Damage accumulates on your airframe, so positioning and use of cover matter alongside aim. The result is a straightforward military action game built around repeated sorties over varied terrain rather than a campaign of narrative set pieces.
