Formula One 2001 – PS2 Game

Formula One 2001 is a licensed Grand Prix racing game for the PlayStation 2, built around the teams, drivers and circuits of the Formula One season it takes its name from. You can enter single races, time trials or a full championship, working through practice and qualifying before each Grand Prix to earn a grid position. Handling can be tuned with driving aids and setup options, letting you either lean on assists or take direct control of braking, gear changes and cornering. Race length is adjustable, and longer distances bring in pit strategy, tyre choices and fuel loads, along with penalties for rule infringements. The PlayStation 2 hardware allows for detailed car models and trackside scenery, and multiple camera views include a cockpit perspective. Two players can race in split-screen.
